Urine Reagent Strips (URS) is used to diagnose
different medical condition in Human Body. By inserting the strip in the urine,
the pad affixed on the strip changes color indicating the type of medical
problem the patient is experiencing. These medical conditions include Glucose,
Bilirubin, Ketone (Acetoacetic acid), Specific Gravity, Blood, ph., Protein,
Urobilinogen, Nitrite, Leukocytes, and Ascorbic Acid. However, each test can be
perform individually giving the patient the ability to separate the only needed
test from the rest.
Ketone in urine is a manifestation of metabolic
acidosis. It is found in diabetic acidosis. Some febrile disorders, such as
typhoid fever, scarlet fever, measles, sepsis, acute millet tuberculosis,
poisoning, such as phosphorus, chloroform, ether, etc... It can also appear
after surgical anesthesia.
Examination of the urinary
ketone body helps to identify diabetic coma and insulin shock. Ketonuria occurs
under physiological conditions and is found when eating more fat. In cases of
hunger and severe vomiting, Ketones can also appear in the urine due to
increased fat mobilization.
MANAGE DIABETES WITH PRECISION: For diabetics, Ketone in the urine
signifies lack of insulin to use glucose for energy; causing the body to use
fat instead. Measure the ketone level in your urine with high precision ketone
sticks and color chart. By doing so, you can keep eye on the presence of ketone
in your body.
MEASURE FAT BURNING RATE: The presence of
ketones in your urine means the body is in ketonic state. This shows your body
is burning fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates which can help achieve weight
loss goals. Get results in seconds.
ACHIEVE YOUR HEALTH GOAL: It is important to
stay healthy; by doing so, checking the level of ketosis in your body becomes
very necessary. This says your body is burning fat. Depending on the type of
diet you are on, our ketone test strips will serve as a guide to enable you
reach your goal in a brief time. Please remember to consult with your
healthcare provider while on ketogenic diet. 100 strips in a bottle.
Glucose: Glucose test is based on a double
sequential enzyme reaction. One enzyme, glucose oxidase, catalyzes the
formation of gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide from the oxidation of glucose.
A second enzyme, peroxidase, catalyzes the reaction of hydrogen peroxide with potassium
iodide chromogen to oxidize the chromogen to colors ranging from blue green to
greenish brown through brown and dark brown.
